The opening hole at Anthem provides a generous landing area. A desert out-cropping pinches on the right side about 150 yards from the green. Players should also try to avoid two deep fairway bunkers on the left. The second shot plays slightly uphill to a large undulating green with a bunker. Avoid hitting your approach long.
