Welcome to the Junior Golf program at Anthem Country Club! Our mission is to cultivate a lifelong love of the game in young golfers, fostering both skill development and sportsmanship in a fun, supportive environment.

Program Highlights:

  • Expert Instruction: Led by our PGA-certified coaches, juniors receive top-notch training tailored to their age and skill level.
  • Skill Development: From fundamentals to advanced techniques, our curriculum focuses on all aspects of the game, including swing mechanics, putting, and course management.
  • Fun Events: We host regular tournaments, clinics, and social events to keep the excitement alive and encourage friendly competition.
  • Team Spirit: Juniors have the opportunity to participate in team play and build lasting friendships on and off the course.

Programs

We will be going back to the 4-week sessions with roughly 4-6 students per class, and if more students request a certain time, then I will bring in a second instructor to help with the classes. As always, if the times available do not work for you and your family, please reach out to me and I will see if private lessons are something we can set up to work for you. Now, please be aware that signing up for these clinics DOES mean you are expected to be there for all 4 weeks, but please let us know if there will be a week or two you will miss in case we can fill that spot with juniors who cannot make another class time.

Session 1 will start right away on Opening Weekend, and end just prior to the Junior Club Championship. Classes will run on Sundays and Wednesdays, that way no weeks have to be skipped due to Member Tournaments at the Course. Session 2 will start a couple of weeks later, and due to Sunlight restraints and the start of Weekend Shotguns in December, the structure will look a little different. We will have clinics on BOTH Saturdays and Sundays since no Member Tournaments are scheduled to interfere with the weekends, however we must wait until the Shotguns are out on the course so the range can be open for us. Dates and times that are currently available are listed below, and I do ask that everyone follows the link to Operation36 so I can have a better grasp on who is looking to participate in these clinics and can limit the signups to the number of students wanted, or increase it if demand is there.

The Junior Club Championship will be held on October 20th, and it will be open to all Juniors here at Anthem under the age of 18 and we will set up the tee markers to USGA Kid’s recommended yardages as well as having different aged flights to match the markers. Our Parent Child Tournament is planning on being held on November 17th, and that tournament is open to all members and their children regardless of age. We will flight that event based off the Children’s age, but definitely will have flights for the adults looking to participate. Only caveat is that the Primary member has to be the Parent in the event, they cannot bring out one of their parents to play. Please look for an email in the coming days regarding the Junior Club Championship signups, and then the Parent Child Signup information will be going out sometime in October, most likely following the completion of the Men’s Fall Classic.
